Water & Wastewater Services has scheduled a flush of the water system for Thursday, April 17.  The system is flushed to clear the lines of sediment, help control the build up of material on the walls of the pipes, and exercise the hydrant and blow-off valves. 

During this process the community will experience extended and intermittent periods of low water pressure and, if water is used, the water that is carrying the sediment may be drawn into your residential plumbing lines and water heater.  Accordingly, we recommend that you do not use water from 9 am until 4 pm, by which time the flushing process will be complete.

Also, before you use any water in your home, we recommend opening up an outside hose bib to make sure the water coming from the mains is clear and no brown water has been drawn into your service line during the flushing process.  If you do have sediment in your water, please run the outside hose bib until it has cleared up.
